Each thimble is carved out of solid piece of wood and hand-painted with Russian miniature painting techniques, as it is done on Russian lacquer boxes. Every brush stroke is very detailed. On the top of the thimble artist wrote "Сказка", which means "Faiytale" in English. This fair tale is about sister Alyonushka and her little brother Ivanushka, who was bewitched by a bad witch, and how Alyonushka saved him. Very collectible thimble.
