This unique lacquer box was made in Russia using traditional techniques with paper-mache. It features a Southwestern design of a kokopelli. Kokopellis are fertility deities and also represent the spirit of music. This lacquer box is shaped sort of like a nesting doll and has the classic red interior. It opens and closes easily with a hinge, and is about 2 1/2" long x 2" wide x 1 1/4" high.
